Krista Estes, DNP, FNP-C is a clinical teaching track assistant professor at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. Originally from Kansas City, Estes received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Kansas. Prior to moving to Colorado, she worked as a FNP in the Emergency Department. Since relocating to Colorado, in addition to teaching at CU she continues to work within the clinical setting one day a week. For the past 2 year, Estes has been a participant in DNA30 and is currently a member of the Colorado Nurses Association. She has enjoyed the passion of the group and the involvement within the community. Her interest in running for president elect centers around her love of nursing. She would be honored to serve in this position to continue to advance the profession and to be an advocate on behalf of nursing.

My name is Gayle Crichton, I am Family Nurse Practitioner for the Little Clinic. I received my Bachelors in Nursing from Texas Christina University and my Masters in Nursing at the University of Texas. I have worked in a number of different positions as an NP and have developed broad background as a result of my experience. I have been in Colorado almost 30 years and have watched the development of NPs in our state. We have increased our scope of practice in that time and continue to develop as a profession. I am excited by the opportunities that current health care reform measures extend to NPs and would like to help develop those opportunities. As a President Elect/President I would be honored to represent our organization as we continue to explore more ways to serve our patients. I will also work to encourage other NPs to engage in this process as I lead our organization.

My name is Susie Stephani and I have been advanced practice nurse since 1989. I have practiced as CNS in Medical/Surgical and Ortho/neuro/trauma for 8 years prior to obtaining post masters in FNP. I have been practicing as FNP since 1997 and member of DNA 30 since then. I have worked in variety of practice setting and fields including family practice, cardiology and internal medicine. I have also participated in research trials as research coordinator and assistant investigator. I am currently working at onsite work center for Take Care Heath Systems. I provide primary , acute, and preventative care to employees of TIAA-CREF. I enjoy working as FNP as I can impact and empower many patients by providing excellent care, there is never a dull moment in my clinic days. I would like to be on board as a Treasurer for DNA 30 and see funds utilized in positive way to improve and enhance NPs, in addition to learning and interacting with others on the board.
