Call for Applications – CSAPN Board of Directors Election

Dear APRN Colleagues,

Elections for the Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses (CSAPN) Board of Directors are approaching, and we are excited to invite applications for several open leadership positions. Serving on the CSAPN Board is an excellent opportunity to give back to your profession, develop your leadership skills, and connect with advanced practice nurses across the state.

Open Board Positions:

  • President-Elect (3-year term: President-Elect → President → Immediate Past President)

  • Program Coordinator (2-year term)

  • Treasurer (2-year term)

  • Student Members (2 positions) (1-year term)

How to Apply:

To be considered, please submit a letter of interest to sig30csapn@gmail.com by May 30, 2025.

Your letter should include the following:

  • Full name and contact information

  • The position you are interested in

  • A brief summary of your APRN experience

  • Any past involvement with CSAPN or other professional organizations

  • A short paragraph explaining why you are a good fit for the role, including any relevant leadership experience and your interpretation of a growth mindset

Role Descriptions:

President-Elect (3-Year Term)

  • Supports the President and assumes responsibilities in their absence

  • Prepares to transition into the President role

  • Assists in planning and facilitating monthly board meetings

  • Helps lead monthly member meetings (1st Wednesday, 6–8 PM)

  • Expected to attend all board meetings and at least 70% of member meetings

  • Supports communication with members and management of SIG30 social media accounts

Program Coordinator (2-Year Term)

  • Coordinates monthly member meetings and dinner sponsorships

  • Collaborates with student members for event planning and logistics

  • Attends board meetings or arranges coverage when unavailable

  • Expected to attend at least 70% of member meetings annually

Treasurer (2-Year Term)

  • Oversees financial operations, including budget maintenance and financial reporting

  • Collaborates with CNA on membership dues, reimbursements, and refunds

  • Expected to attend at least 70% of member meetings annually

  • Works closely with other board members in a collaborative environment

Student Board Members (2 Positions, 1-Year Term)

  • Attend at least 80% of monthly board meetings (held virtually the second Wednesday of each month, 6:30–7:30 PM)

  • Work with board members to gain experience in leadership and organizational management

  • Network with practicing APRNs and potential employers

  • Eligible to attend the National Nurse Practitioner Symposium in Keystone, CO with a travel stipend
