Dear Colleague and Friend of Nursing,
Colorado State Board of Nursing (SBON) is hosting a stakeholder meeting for proposed permanent rule changes related to Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) prescriptive authority, Friday, February 16, 2024, at 1:30pm.
Colorado Nurses Association wants the Department of Regulatory Affairs and the SBON to hear directly from you. We are attaching a copy of our letter of concerns from Colorado Nurses Association content experts for your review. We encourage you to submit written comments reflecting these key talking points and adding your concerns, personally.

The purpose of this Stakeholder Meeting is for the Board to receive feedback regarding Revisions to Rule 1.15 - RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PRESCRIPTIVE AUTHORITY FOR ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES, in order to clarify the statutory mentorship requirements for APN RXNs and to correct a formatting error in Rule 1.14 – RULES AND REGULATIONS TO REGISTER PROFESSIONAL NURSES QUALIFIED TO ENGAGE IN ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSING.
