Thank you to everyone that submitted for Spring Scholarships, we had a large number of applicants. Congratulations to our 2019 Spring Scholarships Awardees!
The SIG 30 2019 spring scholarships. are awarded to existing members to allow for them to attend an educational offering or program. As stated in the SIG 30 bylaws, the scholarship recipients are expected to serve on the SIG 30 Board of Directors or help lead a subcomittee.
The recipients are:
Ann Margaret Aycrigg
Ann Margaret is planning to attend a Primary Care/Pharmacology Conference to expand her knowledge of evidenced based medicine in her current practice. Ann Margaret has served on the SIG 30 board for over 2 years as the treasurer.
Shirelle Claggett
Shirelle will use the scholarship for tuition towards her MBA in Healthcare Management to allow for her to become a change agent within nursing and healthcare. Currently, Shirelle is serving as president elect on SIG 30 board.
Meghan Abrams
Meghan intends to use her scholarship to continue in her DNP at the University of Colorado. Meghan has served on the board for the past year as a student representative. Meghan intends to continue to work closely with the SIG 30 board of directors in meeting planning, organization, and hosting various booths at events.
Rachel Hoffer
Rachel will use the scholarship to assist in tuition costs for her DNP program at SCU Pueblo.
Rachel will be serving the SIG 30 board as a student representative for a one year term, 2019-2020.
Ashley Estrada
Ashley plans to use her scholarship to continue her Master's FNP program through Chamberlain University.
Ashley will serve on the SIG 30 board of directors 2019-2020 as a student representative.
