Ashley Estrada

I am currently enrolled in a Master’s of Science in Nursing program with the specialty track of Family Nurse Practitioner through Chamberlain University. As a future advanced practice nurse, I hope to fulfill my role as an active member within your professional organization. I hope to gain knowledge, develop relationships, and participate in practice innovation through legislative involvement. Through my four years as a registered nurse I have gained experience through a variety of settings including pediatric home health, eating disorder treatment, and pulmonary medicine. I believe that I am an excellent candidate due to my strong desire to become more involved within my nursing practice at a larger scale. I am enthusiastic, flexible, hardworking, and reliable which will contribute to active participation and readiness to take on the expected duties of this position.

Rachel Hoffer, BSN, R.N., CCRN

I am a second semester student at CSU Pueblo’s DNP program which includes a dual emphasis in FNP and AGACNP. I am interested in filling the role of student representative for SIG 30. I am interested in this opportunity for my ability to build my growth and development as a future nurse practitioner by continuing to educate myself, learning from more experienced nurse practitioners, and building relationships with new nurse practitioners. I feel that as a student representative I will also be able to continue to advocate for nurse practitioners through policy, which is something I have become very interested in this semester. I feel it is important that nurse practitioners and nurses find a political voice to advocate more effectively for both ourselves and the patients we serve and I believe that serving as a student representative will help achieve that goal.
