Message on behalf of Debbie Adler, Outreach Program Manager:

I am the Outreach Program Manager for Colorado Drug Card, a free statewide discount prescription assistance program working with the Colorado Medical Society and would like to speak with you about our program being offered as a resource through the Colorado Nurses Association.  Colorado Drug Card works with hospitals, clinics, other medical groups, as well as local schools, immigrant & refugee health services, literacy programs, mental health & counseling resources, food pantries, housing assistance programs & shelters, childcare & educational programs, etc. to help reach the uninsured and underinsured in our state to afford their prescription medications.  We are also a national partner with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and a donation is made to the localNetwork Hospital each time a prescription is processed through Colorado Drug Card.

Savings with our drug card can be up to 25-75% off retail price for most brand & generic FDA-approved medications, and our card is completely free to everyone.  We are also HIPAA compliant, no information is gathered nor shared.  Colorado Drug Card could be a helpful, free tool & resource for the Nurses Association to offer members for their patients, families and those seeking assistance and information in their local community to help afford their prescription medications.  There are several ways our program can be offered easily to members:

-          We print & deliver our free program hard cards, dual-sided English/Spanish, for all programs we work with, and our website translates into nearly 100 languages.  We can also add the Nurses Association to our program cards, all free of charge, of course.   This can be a great way to help increase awareness in local communities for the Association & members.

-          Our link, www.coloradodrugcard.com , lists some of the nearly 68,000 pharmacies we work with, as well as other resources we offer, all of which can be added to Newsletters, E-Blasts, etc.

-          Our local field representatives are available to attend school and community events, health fairs, annual conferences, staff meetings, etc. which you may hold throughout the year

-          Our information may be added to any website allowing anyone to print a free card quickly and easily, whenever it is needed
