DORA second RXN stakeholder meeting Oct 19

Hello APRNs,

The CO State Board of Nursing has announced a second stakeholder meeting to summarize and take comments on additions and amendments to Rules that govern advanced practice registered nurses (APRNS) and APRNs with prescriptive authority (RXNs). Discussion will include APRN rules, qualifications for Provisional Prescriptive Authority and Full Prescriptive Authority, and educational requirements for Prescriptive Authority. Stakeholder input will be limited to discussion of the APRN and RXN rules, their impact, and suggestions for modification. Stakeholder input is crucial to achieving the Department's missions of consumer protection and effective licensure and enforcement, without unnecessary impediment to the economic market.

Meeting Format:

Attendees may provide comments, concerns, and proposals to the program in writing or in person or via webinar at the meeting. Participants will be able to discuss topics brought forward during the meeting. Program staff will moderate the discussion to ensure there is an equitable opportunity for all stakeholders to actively participate, and to ensure that comments and suggested changes are collected for the Board's consideration and future rulemaking.
