2016 SIG 30 Board/Officer Elections

SIG 30 is conducting the Board/Officer Elections for two positions, treasurer and president elect. This month, a ballot was emailed out to each CNA SIG 30 member. If you did not receive it, please check your junk/clutter folder. If you still have not received it, please contact Alyssa Scheller at alyssa@civicamanagement.com

The nominees are Suzanne Voss for the Treasurer Position and Afton Williamson for the President Elect Position.

Deadline to vote is April 30, 2016.

Thank you for your voice and support to CNA and SIG 30.

Treasurer Position: Suzanne Voss

My name is Suzanne L Voss. I am a recent Master of Science graduate with a board certified family nurse practitioner certification. I have been a member of DNA 30 for the past 4 years first as a student NP and now as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I would like to run for Treasurer. I am passionate about our profession and excited to serve on the Board.
Some history about me include: I am married with three boys: 8, 12, and 14 years old. I am working at Horizon's Women Care as a NP, part time. My background includes nursing for the past 24 years as a CNA, LPN, and as a RN for the past 16 years in mostly OB and Women's health. I have two boxer dogs; enjoy running, biking, and snow shoeing. Please vote for me.

President Elect: Afton Williamson

Afton Williamson is a Family Nurse Practitioner currently working in Employee Health at Children's Hospital Colorado. Originally from Colorado, she recently moved back home from Seattle, Washington where she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Washington and worked in a nurse-managed primary care clinic. Afton served as a board member for the Washington State nurse practitioner organization, ARNPs United of WA State. She served a two year term as secretary and was mentored by fellow board members in advocating for nurse practitioners to practice to their full extent of licensure. She is interested in serving on the CSAPN board as President Elect because she wants to contribute to the organization with the goal of continuing to advance and improve the practice environment for advanced practice nurses. Afton hopes to continue to learn and benefit from other leaders in advanced practice in addressing professional issues and ultimately improving the quality of healthcare in Colorado.
